Vicki Shanta Retelny, RDN, is a nationally recognized lifestyle nutrition expert, author, and culinary and media consultant. Vicki has a passion for translating nutrition science into usable, real-life messages as a freelance writer for numerous publications and an on-air expert on local and national television. She is the author of two books, The Essential Guide to Healthy Healing Foods and Total Body Diet for Dummies.
Vicki is on the clinical team at FORM, a virtual obesity medicine clinic, in which she helps patients nationwide to achieve their health and weight-loss goals. Vicki enjoys educating her patients and clients on ways to get creative in the kitchen to integrate delicious flavors to create tasty, nourishing meals.
After earning a bachelor’s degree in communications from the Roy H. Park School of Communications at Ithaca College, Vicki went on to earn a degree in Food and Nutrition from Loyola University in Chicago. She is also an active member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
She lives to eat well with her husband and two active teenagers in Chicago, Illinois. An avid traveler, she worked at Disney World and attended Disney University while in college. She enjoyed a stint living in Belgium and London during her “quarter-life crisis”; she loves to get lost in historical fiction novels; and she’s an avid Pilates enthusiast.
