Anushree (Anu) is a freelance writer who often covers medicine, science, and higher education. She recently graduated from the University of Chicago with a double major in biological sciences and history. Now a medical student, Anu’s pursuit of medical journalism is guided by a belief in the power of objective, accessible reporting in helping us understand our health—and the systems that shape it. Before joining Chicago Health, she served as the 2024–25 managing editor of the Chicago Maroon.
