Alzheimer’s Toll Increases

Nationally, more than 6 million Americans live with Alzheimer’s disease. As that number increases, so, too, does the number of people caring for them. A recent Alzheimer’s Association report paints a sobering picture of the disease’s toll

A section of the report looked at race, ethnicity, and Alzheimer’s in America and found 36% of Black Americans, 19% of Asian Americans, and 18% of Hispanic Americans believe discrimination is a barrier to receiving Alzheimer’s care.
